Shioi Construction’s drywall division Creative Partition Systems (CPS) was awarded the subcontract for High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) Entrepreneur Sand Box, which is a ground-up two-story high technology building project owned by Hawaii Community Development Authority. The 13,000 sf building, located in Kakaako next to the UH Medical School, is composed of creative and makery labs and collaboration and digital media production rooms. The work scope consisted of light gauge metal framing, gypsum board, exterior finish system, building insulation, Acoustical Ceiling Tile (ACT), Acoustical Ceiling Panels, and GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic).
