Shioi Construction was awarded the renovation of the Kapaa High School Career Pathways project, which provided students with a new culinary classroom. This job was expedited and completed in 5 weeks during school's summer break. Shioi Construction removed of all existing dated countertops and cabinets, partitions, doors, sinks and flooring, as well as constructed five cooking workstations and a new locker and storage room. The finishes included new P-lam cabinets, Corian countertops, stainless steel sinks, an eyewash station, ceiling fans, lighting, sheet vinyl, and VCT flooring. The contract amount was $622,000.
