Shioi Construction was awarded a contract for the Sheraton Kauai Resort ocean and beach wing renovation in February 2017. The ocean wing has 106 regular guest units, four ADA units, and seven suites. The beach wing has 63 regular guest units, three ADA units, and two suites, one of which is an ADA unit. The base scope of work included removal of exterior sliding glass doors and windows, lanai rails and tile, and interior removal of carpet, cabinets, AC units and light fixtures. Exterior work included installing new doors and windows, rails and lanai deck traffic coating, and exterior paint. Interior work included installing new cabinets, vanities, counters, doors and hardware, carpet and tile, illuminated mirrors, AC units, plumbing fixtures, fire sprinklers, light fixtures, receptacles, and smoke detectors. The combined efforts of our team along with our subcontractors were a tremendous success in a smooth turn over to the Sheraton Kauai Resort.
