Maui Bay Villas Phase I

Creative Partition Systems (CPS) was subcontracted by Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company (HDCC) in building the first phase of timeshare properties for Maui Bay Villas, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club that hugs the coast of Maalaea Bay. The all-suite beachfront resort sits on 27.83-acres of land and will consist of two three-story timeshare buildings (Buildings 6 and 8), one four-story timeshare building (Building 9), four one-story buildings (Clubhouse, Beach Club, Operations and Pump Room) and a super pool.

CPS’ scope of work includes EIFS, interior light gauge metal framing, gypsum board building insulation, ACT, specialty acoustical wall panels, and a special sound proofing system for floor and ceiling assembly.

Field cutting of the KNP wall panels for the Operations building were not permitted thus creating additional work for CPS. Actual field measurements including notations of locations and dimensions of all electrical boxes, pipes, structural steel supports, doors, and windows were required to be completed prior to ordering pre-cut panels.

Another intricate task involved the installation of kinetic wave hangers for each guestroom suite. The team was required to sketch a design of the actual layout to determine the load each wave hanger would need to carry, and the amount of shims required for every wave hanger. The estimated number of kinetic wave hangers needed, ranging from hundreds to thousands, depended on the size of each guestroom suite.

With no detail spared, this family-friendly oasis will be ready for all to enjoy the exceptional amenities, tropical reefs, cascading waterfalls and iconic black-and-gold sand beaches.

The estimated completion date is December 2022 and the contract amount is $9,402,181.
