LIHU`E, Hawai`i, Jan. 4, 2019 – Shioi Construction, Inc. announced that it has named Roy Y.  Shioi as President.  Shioi, formerly the company’s Executive Vice President, has been with the general contracting company for 25 years and is the grandson of the organization’s founder, Kenneth Shioi.

Prior to Shioi taking the helm, Conrad Murashige served as President of Shioi Construction for 34 years. Murashige will remain as Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors and will continue to assist with day-to-day operations.

“It is with great pride that we appoint Roy as our President,” said Murashige. “He is exactly what Shioi Construction needs now, and in the years ahead, as we attract new employees, and grow our legacy in the state of Hawai`i.”

Before he was Shioi Construction’s Executive Vice President, Shioi was the company’s chief estimator and specialized in conceptual estimating, budgets, as well as negotiated, hard bid, and design/build estimates.

Shioi Construction, Inc. and its drywall and plaster division, Creative Partition Systems recently completed work on the Timbers Resort at Hokuala, Kilauea Lighthouse Village, Island Country Market at the Coconut Marketplace, Servco’s Mapunapuna Maintenance facility, Ewa Makai Middle School Phase II, and the American Savings Bank Kahala Mall branch renovation.
