Ogata Joins Shioi Construction

LIHU`E, Hawai`i, April 3, 2017 – Shioi Construction, Inc. announced that it has hired Eric Ogata as its new operations manager and promoted Roy S. Shioi to vice president and Diane Jenkins to corporate treasurer.

“Eric will oversee all of our company’s projects, and we are very fortunate to have him join our team,” said Shioi Construction President Conrad Murashige. “His knowledge and experience will be invaluable to our company and most importantly, our clients.”

Ogata has more than 25 years of experience working in the construction industry. Prior to joining Shioi Construction, Ogata was the senior project manager at Pioneer Contracting Co., Ltd. for 15 years. In this role, he oversaw other project managers in renovation and new construction projects at Tripler Army Medical Center, including the renovation of its pathology wing, emergency room, and pain clinic. He also worked for the Department of the Navy Nuclear Engineer Division and Allied Builders Systems.

Ogata holds bachelor’s of science degrees in civil engineering and mechanical engineering from the University of Hawai`i and numerous industry certifications.

Roy S. Shioi has been with Shioi Construction for 24 years and was previously its chief estimator. As vice president, Roy will coordinate conceptual estimating, budgets, and negotiated hard bid, value engineering, design/build, and design/assist estimates.

In her position as corporate treasurer, Jenkins is responsible for the company’s accounting and financial operations as well as coordinating with corporate consultants. She has worked at Shioi Construction for 13 years.

“Roy and Diane have been instrumental in maintaining our company’s drive and focus over the years, through market and economic changes,” stated Murashige. “Their leadership is an asset to our team, and I am grateful for their service.”
